Generative AI Service Requests Overview

This page serves as a central repository for already approved generative AI tools and their associated risk levels, in accordance with University Guidance Approval Criteria & Process.

IT Services follows a systematic approach to reviewing generative AI tools, assessing them based on various factors, including security, privacy, and compliance requirements. The decisions are categorized as follows:

• Yes - no restrictions: Approved without any restrictions.

• Yes - with restrictions: Approved with certain conditions. A risk acceptance letter (RAL) will be required in this situation, to be signed by the department head.

• No: Not approved due to high-risk levels.

Risk Awareness

IT Services emphasizes the importance of understanding the potential risks associated with generative AI tools.  These include:

• Privacy Concerns: Risks related to the misuse of personal information.

• Data Bias: The potential for biased outputs based on input data.

• False Information: Possibility of generating inaccurate or misleading information.
